Dr. Cailen Wells, a young, enthusiastic Doctor of Specific Chiropractic is a native of Michigan, and after graduating from Eastern Michigan University in 2005 with a degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, landed in Atlanta by way of Life Chiropractic College, where she earned a post graduate degree in chiropractic medicine. Upon graduating, she joined a chiropractic practice in St. Mary’s, Georgia, largely serving our military. After several years in a small community, she decided to bring her practice and her paradigms to the big city of Atlanta.

“What is often discounted or even missed in other forms of medical care is the protective encasement and saddle of the brain stem or the Atlas, which is the ‘control tower’ of the nervous system!  The atlas is the protective encasement of bone at the base of the neck which holds the head, the brain, and most importantly, the brain stem.”  The Atlas is the specific part of specific chiropractic….which Dr. Cailen and other specific chiropractors believe is the saddle and protective shield of the brain stem, and when locked by untreated head trauma, as in sports injury, car accident,  or even unusual stress, can be a source of malfunction for the entire body!
